Our shaft straightness tolerance is .002” measured anywhere on the shaft. This far tighter than “industry standard” which is usually about .005” - .006”. All tapered couplings are lapped on. We pay special attention to keyways on the shafts we manufacture; spooning and smoothing all sharp edges to reduce any stress risers. We stock both Aqua 19 & Aqua 22 shafting up to 2-1/2” and metric up to 65mm with larger sizes usually available in 1-3 days
